Our school is going to be renamed as Mahinda Rajapaksha Vidyalaya.

Under the Isuru project, our school is being reconstructed these days. There are so many facilities that are available under the project. There is an administrative building, a school playground, a pavilion,a swimming pool, a computer lab, teachers’ quarters, etc. . The administrative building has been already built and in near future the president will declare open the school after renaming it as Mahida Rajapaksha Vidyalaya.

eVillage Training at DLC

Under the SEMP project, we are lucky to get some training on e-village at the Distance Learning Center (DLC) in Colombo. Miss U.H.A.D Sarangika, the ICT teacher of Viharagala School participated in this training and got more experiences. After the training she expects to share her experience with Villaragala students too. She has planned to make a presentation on April 02, 2010 at school. All e-village students and teachers are hoping to participate in the occasion.

Our e-village is lucky to receive a multimedia projector.
Last month, unexpectedly we received a multimedia projector by the Secondary Education Modernization Project (SEMP.). So, we were happy at that moment. At that time school was holding its annual sports meet. We had already taken the videos of the sports meet. So our students made video clips through ULead software and displayed those video clips on the stage on the final day of the sports meet.
